"I purchased this coat from a local retailer back in 1995. I have put it through the ringer ever since. From my college days to working outside cutting wood to working for my employer delivering precast concrete structures. I have warn this coat pretty much every winter since and living here in the Catskill Mtn. area of NY, we get some pretty cold winters as well and I have never been cold with nothing more then a flannel shirt on underneath. The only way you would know that this coat is old is from the collar. Carhartt used to produce this coat with a leather collar and that trim has since worn off from wear and washings"

Great Old School Style Coat

"I bought this Sandstone Chore Coat because I absolutely love my original duck Chore Coat (C001). This coat is very warm with the blanket lining and I love the old school style. The best part of the Sandstone version of this coat is it is already broken in and very comfortable."

Great Coat

"This is the best coat I have ever owned. Tough and durable. I have bought both my Son's similair coats from Carhartt.
I just use it for odd jobs around the yard and such, so it does not get abused. I wear this coat every day. This coat is perfect for the weather in Western WA., Puget Sound area. Not too warm and roomy enough to layer when the temperature does drop down below the 30's.
This coat will outlast me..."

"Tiny metal buttons down front and on sleeves extremely difficult to button. A zippered front would afford easier closure and wind-protection.
Front pockets too small for large hands and are "unprotected", i.e. no flaps."

"About seven years ago I worked a city job that provided me this coat for the fall season. I've since used it any time it's below 50 degrees, simply adding inner layers when it's colder... only this year have the sleeves begun to fray at the cuffs.
I want this coat again for Christmas."

"I gotta say that Carhartt is #1! Just picked up this coat about a week ago and I must say this coat is top shelf. I've always worn Dickies jackets, and they don't hold a candle to this coat! The fit is just right, and it looks great and durable, I don't believe I will buy any other brand when it come to coats."

"I bought this coat over 5 years ago. And I love it just as much as the day I bought it. It's wearing beautifully, like my favorite pair of blue jeans. I wear it every day during the winter months. "Just replaced mine after 15 years, and only because I wanted something with more pockets and because I wanted to size up for layering. This thing is indestructible.
Based on this jacket I will ONLY consider Carhartt for rugged outerwear. No one else is even close."

"GOT THIS COAT SATURDAY AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THE QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP IN THIS GARMET. FIRST CAHARTT I EVER HAD. MY WIFE HAS OWNED SOME IN THE PAST AND PICKED THIS ONE OUT FOR ME. THE POCKETS ARE REINFORCED WITH RIVETS AND THE POCKETS ARE AT JUST THE RIGHT PARTS ON THE COAT TO FACILITATE EASY ACCESS. THIS COAT SHOULD LAST ME QUITE A FEW YEARS. I PLAN ON PUTTING THIS COAT TO THE TEST IN ALL TYPES OF WEATHER AND CONDITIONS. THE BLANKET LINING LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ONES ON THE HORSES IN THE BARN. VERY COOL, AND OH SO WARM. THE COAT IS GREAT FOR THE WORKING GUY OR GAL. THANKS CARHARTT FOR SUCH A COMFORTABLE, GREAT LOOKING, RUGGED, TOUGH, DEPENDABLE, AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT."

My first carhartt

"A little after chrismas my uncle called me up and said he had a jacket for me if it fit, before christmas i tried on his carhartt and loved it, he has at least 5 carhartt jackets, and some vest, i went over to his place and tried it on and it was a perfect fit, i love carhartt, and im sure my carhartt will last me though college and everything else i go through(im a senior right now). Also i love that it's made in America, i plan to give carhartt some good buisness in the future buying their products for family members"

"When I first saw this coat it was being worn by a clerk at the local hardware store. The cut, the fit every thing looked great! He let me try it on ...and I didn't want to take it off!
I love the reinforced pockets for holding tools, screws and small parts. The inner pocket is great for holding my billfold and calendar. The upper vest pocket with the flap is the new home for my cell phone.
The only problem I've had so far is giving it up long enough to run it through the washer and dryer! Several washes - still looks great!"
