I have lived in Ohio all my 47 years. That is 47 years of sometimes frigid early morning tough winters that cut through clothing easily and chill you right to the bone. Shivering and shaking can be common while cleaning snow off the truck and waiting for the truck to warm up, or working outside doing chores, or just taking the dog to do his/her morning business. Buy a Carhartt jacket or coat and experience how warm you can stay. I purchased their Duck Active jacket...which has fairly lightweight insulation, and so far in 2010 we have had temperaturers below 10 degrees F, without the windchill factor, and I was outside Snow blowing the driveway and did not get cold. I have not been chilled, shivered, or shaked at all this winter while wearing my new Carhartt jacket. Imagine what their coats are like! This is the way good clothing should be made. Carhartt jackets and coats are worth every penny. This is what good clothing is.

Great Durable Coat
Date:January 23, 2012
"This coat is great. My first lasted through 4 years of hard use in overgrown agricultural fields and secondary growth forest overrun with briers and wild rose. Although the coat is a little stiff when forst purchased, this is an asset. Never once did the coat rip or tear and after a couple of weeks it break in nicely. I'm only replacing now since the weld on the zipper has given out and I've never been satisfied with the results of replacing a zipper. I imagine I'll never even consider a different fall-winter-early spring work coat."

"This jaket is the warmest jake i have ever worn and it fits good to. I had used this jacket for about 4 years and just recently got a new carhartt for a present the only thing that wore on it was the end of the sleeves. My dad had used this jacke for work prior to me. I used this jacket all threw high school and as many of you know teenagers are extreamly hard on clothing, but this jacket took some extream abuse and came out looking great. the lineing never wore out or got thin. It is still in good shape and i still use it for work. It is the first jacket i grab when going out fishing or to work on the farm. My mom loved the jacket to becuase it was so easy to get clean almost anything short of axle grease came out with out a spot on it! i would recomend this jacket to anyone, and I myself know i will never buy anything other then carhartt."

Great work jacket
Date:August 13, 2011
"I have owned this jacket for about 10 months now and after much wear, is still in great condition. I work outside in cold weather for 6 months out of the year and this jacket has never failed me. Even in 20 degree weather I work up a sweat in no time. The thermal lining is perfect for anything down to about 10 degrees. The active cut allows for a great range of movement, which is perfect since I am constantly climbing up ladders and have to fit into tight spaces. My only complaint would be that the hood fits a little strange on my head and does not allow for great cover in rain that is blowing sideways. I usually wear a hat though so it is no big deal. Great jacket well worth the price and I know it will last me for years to come!"

"My jacket is everlasting. It started to get dirty from all the construction work I had been doing, had some paint on it etc. Put it in the washer, came out looking brand new again. Would recommend for anyone, all my friends are buying Carhartt's now. Thanks!"

Great Jacket
Date:February 5, 2011
"It looks great, is very comfortable, and isnt very heavy! On that note however, it is a little thinner then I expected.. The extra larger is just too big for him she we had to order the large tall which still could have been a little bit longer in the waist and arms not much just a bit!!"

I love Carhartt
Date:December 28, 2010
"I had originally owned a knock off of a Carhartt. Being a larger person, I recently outgrew it. This time I spent the extra money and bought myself a REAL Carhartt. I love this jacket! It gets me through the tough Ohio winters. The jacket is not too baggy, and not too tight. It keeps the wind out. The only problem I found was that the sizes run a little small. So if you are a big person, get the next size up so you have some extra room!"

I love this jacket
Date:November 22, 2010
"This is my second jacket like this. The only reason why the first one is not being used anymore is because I have outgrown it.
They are tough, very comfortable and always fit (unless you gain or lose weight.
Price is a little steep, but still very worth it being that you can use it for years!!!!"

Great Jacket
Date:April 6, 2010
"I wear mine everyday its cold. I am also a college student and have to walk long distances from my truck to classes in the dead of winter and this jacket has always kept me warm."
"This is my least favorite jacket. I find the fit to be poor, too baggy and next size down is too snug. The sleeves wore out very quickly on my jacket. I would not buy this one again, many other better choices available."

Happy Birthday to Me!
Date:March 5, 2010
"I am tired of swiping my husband's brown Carhartt. I didn't get one for Christmas so I took the bull by the horns and ordered my OWN Carhartt as an early birthday present to myself.
The bright red is a vibrant, un-orangey red, even after washing it a few times.
I am very tall (5'9") so I usually order men's jackets to get the right sleeve length. Having worn "his" Carhartts for years, I knew which size to order. They do shrink a bit if you wash them in the washer/dryer. After shrinkage, this jacket is PERFECT.
I wasn't sure about the lining on this one, as it is different from my husband's. The thermal lining is very lightweight, but has performed extremely well in the windy, bitter cold Oklahoma winter weather. Best of all, it doesn't add a lot of bulk.
The inside zip pocket and pen pocket are perfect for tucking away a cell phone, ink pens, and business cards.
I like the fit of this jacket. You have room to stretch and move, but it isn't so bulky that it gets in the way.
The duck material is very durable, even when I am out on a construction site.
The only CON I could give this jacket isn't really a con at all. I was hoping the red would be a deterrant and keep my husband from taking it, but he actually LIKES it."

"I have just bought this jacket because we have been getting a lot of snow the thermal lining on the inside dose seem a little on the light side but i do have a Carhartt C26 MOS coat which is heavy I got this to wear in the spring and wanted it to be lighter then my coat but even though it may seem lighter I can still wear just a t-shirt and be very warm in 5deg weather which is surprising for a jacket with just thermal lining. Seems great just like every other carhartt product i own"
